Queensland Country Good for Good Community Grants:

Queensland Country Bank Good for Good Community Grants is our way of providing a helping hand to community groups across Queensland.  We use profits made from our banking business to put back into the community so that the communities that support us, can deliver on projects that support the community. In other words, ‘Good for Good’.

Eligible not-for-profit organisations are invited to apply for funding of up to $30,000 to deliver projects that make a practical difference to the lives of people in Queensland communities - projects that help Queenslanders ‘live better’.

We’re looking to support projects that enable people to participate, experience, grow, learn, reach out, connect, make a difference and be safe.

NX Community Grants Program- Tour De Brisbane

HOW IT WORKS

The NX Community Grants Program is a funding initiative by NXsports, an organization that hosts various sporting events. The program was created to build long-term partnerships with community groups and give back to them for their collaboration and volunteer services at these events.

The program provides funding to a wide range of community groups, including schools, sporting clubs, environmental groups, youth services, and welfare organizations. These groups volunteer at NXsports events by performing various duties. In return for their service, they receive funding based on the number of volunteers they provide.

To participate, groups need to register with NXsports and work with an event manager to organize their roles and responsibilities. The program is a way for community groups to raise money and gain recognition for their efforts while helping NXsports deliver successful events.

All community organisations, groups and clubs are very welcome to nominate
to be part of an event. This is usually done via the event website under the
volunteers tab or just with a phone call or email.
Each group of volunteers needs to assign a group leader who will work with the
event manager to organise dates, times, rosters, training, and contact details.
(A number of individuals not from a club are welcome to also form as a group.)
The group will agree which duty they wish to perform and the event manager will
provide details on responsibilities, tasks and link the group into the event
communications. This should all be done three to four weeks in advance.
1. Individuals need to sign-on with the volunteer manager for insurance
purposes on race day.
2. Individuals should bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, snacks and
closed footwear.
3. Any children under the age of 18 need to be supervised by an attending adult.
4. The normal shift hours of attendance are depending on the roles, some may start
early at 5.00am and often are finished by mid-morning or the early afternoon.
5. Shift times vary between 4 to 5 hours and can be negotiated to suit church,
schools etc.
