FUNDING BOOST FOR ZILLMERE COMMUNITY CENTRE

Member for Lilley Anika Wells today has announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver $500,000 to upgrade the Zillmere Community Centre.

This $500,000 election commitment will fund an exterior upgrade, electrical works, patio extension, garden improvements and fencing. Disability access will also be upgraded as part of the project.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.

Minister Wells said the Zillmere Community Centre was a vital Northside hub that has been providing essential services and support to the local community for decades.

“The centre provides food relief, emergency housing, and support for vulnerable members of our community,” Minister Wells said.

“I am so pleased to be delivering this funding which will ensure that the centre can continue to meet the needs of our Northside community for decades to come.

“I know it will make a huge difference to some of our most vulnerable community members.
